The opening business meeting of the 58th General Conference Session will begin Thursday, June 30 at 3:00 pm, local time. The closing meeting will end on Saturday night, July 9. GC Session meetings and associated events will he held in St. Louis' foremost convention center, America's Center, which includes the 70,000 seat Edward Jones Dome, site of the business and weekend meetings. Located at Washington Avenue and 6th Street, this huge complex is the hub of the area, and from this vantage point one can easily see the famous Gateway Arch, built as a monument to President Thomas Jefferson. This arch stands 630 feet high above the great Mississippi River, and is the tallest national monument in America.

Volunteers: The General Conference is required to utilize the services of exclusive providers in America’s Center for many of its operations. Other than volunteers from Andrews University and Union College, the GC will not require volunteers for 2005.

July 2-4: St. Louis will celebrate the fourth of July with a three-day weekend: a parade on July 2 and fireworks each evening. Watch this site for a map with road closures and information on parking and public transportation.

A Day of Spiritual Emphasis will precede the General Conference Session at America's Center. Plans include devotionals, prayer and seminars on prayer, worship, relationships and witness.

World Ministers Council: World Minister’s Council will not be held at the 2005 GC Session.
