St. Louis is well-equipped for transporting people. The light rail system,
MetroLink, has been called one of the best mass transit systems in the country.
The clean, efficient trains are a big hit with visitors and locals alike who
want to see the attractions without a car. The system begins at Lambert-St.
Louis International Airport, covers 34 miles and has stops close to downtown
hotels, city shopping areas and America's Center.
The MetroLink Shuttle services take visitors from MetoLink stations to more
attractions. MetroBus system serves most areas of the city and St. Louis county.
It runs from 4:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m., with reasonable fares. Auto rentals,
taxis and limousines are also available.
Downtown Street Closures
On Sabbath, July 2, 2005, many downtown streets will be closed for the 4th
of July parade. We strongly recommend public transportation to America’s
Center on this day. The light rail system known as MetroLink is efficient and
economical. The Convention Center stop is located near America’s Center.
A map of the system and availability of park and ride lots can be found at MetroLink
Web site.
Park and Ride lots are free of charge. Overnight parking is not allowed.
